30 Jahre Riedel 2017 / for Ortvision Berlin / in cooperation with David Bührer

For the 30 years company annual of Riedel, a world leader in communication and transmission techniques specialized on sport events, a shuttle was necessary to bring guest to event locations apart from the main halls. Since the surrounding for the trip was along the backside of unprepossessing production halls, the idea was to let the guest take a ride through virtual worlds.

The task was to cope with slightly varying tracks and timing. This is why we choose a realtime rendering setup to generate sound and pictures along the driving parameters like speed and rattling.

These parameters where taken by sensors and transmitted via an arduino to the two pc-workstations, rendering the scenes on four monitors each.

The signal processing was realized with the software VVVV.

The scenes where setup with the software Unity.

The main task was to optimize rendering in order to be able to realize the tasks on limited hardware capabilities.
